Year 6 Galleries
The children have been constructing their own planes using bits and pieces found around the house. They focused on aerodynamics to help their design and decided on what type of propulsion it would use. These were inspired by their work on aviation and air/space craft.
We have been exploring the human body and its vital organs. Having a go at recreating it. Plus we learnt about non-Newtonian liquids and made our very own.
In year six, we have been doing lots of exciting activities to get our children reading. This include daily E.R.I.C time (everyone reads in class) which the staff got involved with. Plus the kids have been completing their book presentations which included some fantastic models. One child also gave their presentation in front of the Mayor.
The children took to the playground to draw 2-D shapes. They included a range of quadrilaterals and triangles. Plus equilateral hexagons, pentagons and heptagons for the more adventurous.
The children have been making their own cars for racing. The used motors, cams and axles to create motion and then added design to add style to their wheels.
Race Day! Paige took the victory closely followed by Abigail. Design awards went to Abbey, Olivia and Steph.
The children have been learning about the human body and its vital organs. This led to them inventing their own board games, with forfeit cards for added excitement.
