Year 6 2022 - 2023
Welcome to Orleans Class.
The class teachers are Mrs McVey and Mrs Meers and our learning facilitators are Mrs Anderson and Ms Jones.
Mrs McVey teaches on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and Mrs Meers teaches on a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
This is the year children sit their KS2 SATs. We aim to make our learning engaging, fun, challenging and supportive for all. Our learning environment prepares children for their transition on to secondary school.
We want our class to mature, grow in confidence and self-esteem and become good role models for the younger children. We have an ethos of mutual respect between our staff and children in class which promotes a happy and harmonious environment. Every person in class upholds our eight core values.
A typical day in our class is a reading task, maths and English of a morning and in the afternoon we start with spellings and then our foundation subjects such as art and history.
Children will need PE kits in school on a Monday and swimming kits in school on a Friday.
