Absence / Late Procedure

What to do if your child is going to be absent or late.

If your child is going to be absent from school, please call the school office on 01695 724046 or Email - bursar@croworchard.lancs.sch.uk

by 9.15am

You can also ring before the school is open and leave a message on the answerphone, it will be picked up as soon as the office opens at 08.30am

Please leave you child's name, class and why they are absent. If no reason is given your child may be marked as having an unauthorised absence on the register.

If you know your child is going to be late into school, Please call the school office and let us know so we can order lunches etc.

If your child is more than 30minutes late they will miss their attendance mark for the morning.

If you have not contacted school by 9.15am Mr Murray will call the first contact on the child's list. If we have had no contact after that your child will be marked as having an unauthorised absence. If we have concerns around your child's absence this may result in a welfare visit from Mr Murray and Miss Hollings in the first instance.

If you have more than one child in school and one of them is absent please speak to Mrs Jacobsen in the office. Please do not just leave a message with the teacher on the gate as they do not always have contact with the office in a morning.
