PE & Sports Premium Grant
At Crow Orchard Primary School, we believe that physical activity plays a vital role in supporting children's health, wellbeing and personal development. We provide a broad range of sporting opportunities and encourage all pupils to develop positive, active lifestyles.
The PE and Sport Premium enables us to enhance the quality of PE, school sport and physical activity by investing in staff development, specialist coaching, resources and opportunities for pupils to take part in a wide range of activities.
What is the PE & Sports Premium?
The PE and Sport Premium is government funding provided to primary schools to improve the quality of PE, sport and physical activity. Schools have the flexibility to decide how the funding is used, provided it supports sustainable improvements in PE and sport.
The government has confirmed funding for the 2025–2026 academic year.
How the funding may be used?
The funding can be used to:
Improve the quality of PE teaching.
Provide specialist coaching and staff training.
Increase participation in sport and physical activity.
Offer a wider range of clubs and sporting opportunities.
Support participation in competitions and events.
Purchase PE equipment and resources.
