Curriculum Overview

At Crow Orchard Primary School we have created a Curriculum overview for each class.  In this we have mapped out a long term plan which shows what subjects and topics will be taught and when in the school year. Through the individual subject areas we encourage our children to have enquiring minds, to question, to be curious and excited about their learning so that they develop the skills and knowledge needed to function in today’s world.  We provide opportunities for our children to become knowledge builders with the skills and dispositions capable of creativity and problem solving. To help make our learning as interesting and meaningful as possible our Science, Geography and History topics start with an enquiry question.  We encourage our children to develop expertise in all area thorough meaningful and purposeful opportunities featuring local people, local places and interesting local facts.
