Headteacher's Welcome

They say the best things come in small packages, well that is most certainly the case at our primary school.  Smaller than average class sizes, a committed, highly experienced team of educators, an excellent learning environment where the uniqueness of each child is celebrated.  A school filled with happy children, happy parents and happy staff.  Challenged and supported in equal measure by a skilled and committed governing board.  I am SO PROUD to lead this school.

Through our website, we hope that you can get a flavour of what we are all about, the uniqueness that is Crow Orchard.

We have a brilliant team of volunteers, the Friends of Crow Orchard who are committed to helping me and my team 'go the extra mile', they are a welcoming bunch who have the same Crow Orchard passion running through their veins.  They make such a difference!

We hope you will see our truly amazing children and gain an insight into the many learning experiences that help us create treasured memories that establish our children as life-long learners.

Crow Orchard is a successful school, with children who really want to learn.  Our ethos facilitates excellent relationships between pupils and staff and our school is filled with warmth and steadfast commitment to the most important people, our children.  Academic standards are very good but our school offers so much more than this.  As a team, we are passionate about educating the whole child, we plan learning opportunities that excite our learners and a great timetable for extra-curricular clubs is offered each term.

We listen to our parents and carers, they are regularly invited into school to take part in a variety of events; this is something that our parents and carers love, the opportunities to truly be part of school life.

We seek to help all our children develop inquisitive, creative and active minds and provide them with the skills and knowledge that will prepare them for successful, healthy lives in the ever-changing world in which we live. We are proud to work with our local SHARES family of schools; bringing the best opportunities into school for both children and staff.  We are a SCITT ( Outstanding Training Provider) school,  work with West Lancashire College and Edge Hill University; investing in the future generation of teachers and support staff.
